"Starbucks" ;)
Personally, i enjoy going to coffee cafes to sit down, drink a cup of ice blended coffee and do my stuff. so when shirls said abt having starbucks w jesus, somewhat i can identify and relate to ;)

of cos, i would not have the luxury to keep visiting those coffee cafes (if not my wallet will burn a big fat hole..) so..i found a new place to "starbucks w God!"

i went to the mini park nearby my hse just now to have my day 2 of starbucks.

was really good. having the cold wind blowing and sitting there without any distraction. (but the cold wind somehow cause my running nose worse. hahaha)

the light was abit dim though..nevertheless, i had an unhurried time with God, reading and digesting His word..and pending 09 resoultions!

i asked myself if one day, God called me to an unknown, will i display the same faith and trust the disciples had when jesus called them? i pray that i will. and i pray that God will show me what are some possible hinderous that may stop me for following him wholeheartedly so that i can take note.

God reminded me about preparing myself for the new growth. the unit is moving towards new growth and breaking new frontiers, as a ldr, am i prepared? am i preparing the pple as well?..so that when the new growth comes, we are able to contain it. i need to grow!!! 09 must be a blast! ;)

Am thinking how to start my first 09 post so decided to put the above pic!

A smile for 2008! why?

A) i got my first distinction for my nov exam! ;) in 2008, i've seen how God helped me alot in my studies. improving bit by bit. assuring me at very timely moments when i am stress. placing people to guide me and encourage me. God, u rock! ;)

B) Grow me emotionally; my security and leadership
i've never cried so much in my life and feel so cui until the beginning of this year. hhaha. emotional roller coaster. but i've learn to be stronger and God has revealed my weaknesses and bring down my pride. thank you God for growing me and showing me areas i need to grow! thanx peeps (my sheeps/ldrs/frens) for giving constructive feebacks to me as well. really appreciate them ;)

C) my dad no longer smokes!
during june, my dad had a mild stroke. it happened a day b4 i have my micro exam..but through this, he had stopped smoking completely ;) he has improved physically so much since then! thank God for his protection over my dad.

D) challenging myself & dream big

firstly, i ran 5km! i have overcome the running monster..hurhur. those who knows me, know that i hate running seriously. but am glad i did the 5km run without stopping though i was so tempted to stop and walk.

Secondly, i manage to fast from watching online dramas for a mth plus!! haha it was kind of tough cos during holis its a gd time to watch online dramas. but its because of this fast, i realise how much time i actually spend on watching them which i can use the time to read news online, do other constructive stuff. nw that i no longer fast on this, i need to make sure i do not get so caught up with watching shows..must exercise self-control ;)

Thirdly, i got the opportunity to co lead pnw (one of my dream) with sharlene during camp! a gd exposure. was really quite nervous abt it but i know God was guiding me. shar was really my gd and faithful "safety net"...helped me alot! plus the musicians and support singers supported well too. it feels gd to be able to do smth that i've always been wanting to do for God though its scary!!!

esp abt dreaming big for God. naturally i am not someone who dreams. but in 08, i've learnt the importance to dream big because its smth that will motivate you to go further and attempt greater things for God. (**thanx huey huey! love ya lots ;) )

E) Increase my self-awareness.
tthrough incidents, God helped me to be more aware of myself. my thoughts, my behaviour etc. why i say/do the things i say/do.

seriously, in 08, through the good times; the funny/interesting moments, not so good moments; very very cui moments, i see my true self. I thank God for letting all these happen so that i can learn precious lessons from them and rely on Him/know Him more.

i just came back from a combined ulm meet with ps jeff. wow..i caught his spirit of the importance of the role as a leader. man..i cant agree further but to say its really a privilege to be able to serve God in such a measure. at such a time like this, i am doing smth that will make an impact for eternity in others lives in one way or another. i wont get to live this life again, i better make it count! i always think that its such a joy and privilege to be able to serve esp in the youth ministry whereby there's so much potential in the people here. God pls use me in whatever ways u can to make a difference in the youth ministry!!

09 has started and i know it will be an even more exciting year ahead! ;)

Its FUN to learn!

yea have done my holis planning. it seems quite reasonable..so i hope i can faithfully follow and be enrich during this 1 mth plus.

today is my learning day! thank God for technology. seriously, internet really has almost everything and anything.

i juz went to CNN website and they have podcasts, videos of news.. make me more interested!

youtube has online vocal training videos too..not sure if its good anot. will explore more.

Or lean into your confusion, admitting you don’t have the answers, and watch God expand your thinking and grow your soul.

met gwen and daniel for his belated bdae dinner. we were commenting how we r actually growing up and stuff. which reminds me of the convo i had with shuz this afternoon over msn..was talking to her abt the same stuff and i felt encouraged after that.

i pray that i will nv grow to be skeptical but always having a child-like faith. i strongly believe youth has so much potential to be tap on. i wanna make it count and get people on boat to make their youth count as well. people like shuz, gwen and daniel (and many other ldrs) who gave their youth to invest on this young generation becos they see the potential in them. wow!

HELLO WORLD!

exam finally over. this time, God has been really gd to me by sending people to encourage me/pray for me from time to time and giving me strength & wisdom. grace once made this comment, during exam period, the amt of encouragement sms-es u received is more than those during ya bdae! haha. kinda agree w that.

anyway, after my last paper, went for a meal at Fish & Co w frens and a movie (Quantum of Solace).

My first time trying their fish & chips. wow its really a big one and i thought 2 person can actually share it. it was nice afterall! their fried calamari is gd too!

The next day after exam, i went for leadership conference at JB. was a gd break. the theme was Planting The Kingdom. got to meet other ldrs from other parts of Hope movement. was encouraged/inspired by some of their testimonies during meal time :)

The guy who is in the pic below is Vincent; from Hope London. a few of us were in his team for one of the pnw session in LC. intially he was serving in our church at Malaysia and i asked him why he want to go UK to do his masters and plant church at london. his replied was "why not ?"ahha. i was like..WOW.what a reply.. he actually did PHD so that he can stay in london longer to do more for God. *claps* He tell us to align what we want to do together with God :)

Next, the guy below is Ps Marcus from germany! he conducted a workshop abt post-modern people. He is really gd! His focus is on communication. its not the normal communication skills but another level and perspective of how we shld relate to people esp in the post-modern society. ard 15 of us were in his workshop. we were unfamilar w each other. he managed to make all of us to speak up and helping us to understand people's pt of view, not just letting people know our views and asking them to accept it. learnt alot from him! (and he is REALLY TALL. he adjusted his height just to take pic w the 3 of us ;p)

In short, What i learnt from LC:
1) Character is very impt in the KOG. dun be careless esp when u serve God for a longer time.
2) Great commission=making discipples! (wanna apply during holis!)
3) Be ready and willing to align what u want to do with God's plan.

#1: Conquered my enemy--Running!

i did my FIRST ever RUN! haha. i am not a regular runner cos i hate it. its my enemy. The ladies on the pic below and i signed up for Great Eastern 5km Fun Run. when we sign up, everyone thought its quite fun, but as the days draw nearer, all of us think that we are MAD to sign up for it when after that we haf meeting. haha. but nevertheless, we did it! these ladies they cheered me on and we had fun (i hope! HAHA). especially chantel who chose to pace me on. it really makes a difference esp when i feel like giving up!

i was very cui after the run. i felt like vommiting and was very restless. ahahah! can tell from the pic. the rest were still alright and happily posing..HAHA.WE DID IT GIRLS!

#2: Wong Leehom's concert

went for the recent wong leehom's concert with jinger! thanx to jinger's frens who gave her a pair of tix for her bdae and she invited me :) the seats were the 3rd best seats. the pics are not with me now..but i kop the following pics from somewhere else.haha

When he starts to sing..both jinger and i were so mesmerized by him.
his singing is really awesome! handsome & talented. even kit chan and stef sun went to watched.

#3: A pleasant surprise!

Peter drove & delivered a piece of durian cake to my hse downstair when i was complaining that i am hungry in the middle of the nite. so nice rite? hahah. Whoever is gonna be Peter's girlfriend will surely be very bless! such a friendly-godly giant! i will keep speaking well of u to others, Peter..HAHAHA. (he asked me to promote him! Peter, do i get any commission by doing so?haha!)

#4: Challenge of the spicy buffalo wings!

just nw peter drove shirls,me, freedy & gideon to this ulu place to eat buffalo wings! quite interesting cos there's different level of Spiciness of the wings. from level 1 up to level 30. and u will get a cert if u manage to finish six lvl 30 wings. haha!
we tried level 2 and level 10. level 2 was ok. but level 1o's wings were really very very spicy.

Shirls ate two of the lvl 10 wings. she didnt event sweat but just drank water. i guess shirls can try for lvl 15! Go try shirls! can get freedy to go with u for the challenge. haha

Freedy ate Three of lvl 10 wings and sweat like mad..haha. but he did it nevertheless!

To me, one lvl 1o wing can alrd "kill" you. its really spicy. i tried one & couldnt take it after 2 bites. i only continue finishing it after drinking lots of water and not eating the skin. cos its the skin that all the spicies are on it.

Today was a very very slack and relaxing sunday since dunno when. haha. no mugging/rushing of proj/meeting.

Initiated a breakfast w mum cos being a long time since we ate together :)
felt like a pig today after breakfast. cos i did nth much. but oh well..wun want to be like that for the rest of this holidays.

i've set my objectives for this holidays. still need to plan out in more details of how to achieve it. i always think that holidays is a gd chance to learn! and to apply what've learnt in LC. i want God to stretch me and let me experience new breakthrough (a "dangerous" request!) so that i can grow more. in addition, i asked God to bless me with flexi part time job so that even as i earn allowance, i still can serve. i believe God will provide :)

Preparation for the battle!

yupp..its the exam monster again! thought of typing a post b4 i bury into the textbks and notes...

smth interesting..
i realise am pretty particular as of where i study. the environment/place i study must be...

a) Cooling and comfortable

- makes me feel relax and enjoy mugging. definitely not places where i feel like sleeping!

b) dont have a tense atmosphere

-e.g NLB is not a place i will go study because the environment is too quiet until it makes me feel stress. even if u juz drop a pen, its gonna get pple's attention. haha.

- haha thats why even if i go amk lib, i prefer to study at the cafe area..it makes me feel less stress ;p (but well..nw even amk lib is getting crowded..so airport is still better!)

c) Within my travelling distance

- its a "dun" criteria..rarely i would wanna go far placesto study cos it will be a waste time. in fact, i enjoy going to airport to study. haha. cos its not that far from my place.

d) Spacious Tables

- haha i noe this sounds abit funny..but ITS TRUE!! i mean its kinda hard to study on small tables? haha. ok mayb is my issue.

anyway, i FINALLY got my study table from ikea!! :) i can study at hm :D my previous com table doesnt give me much space to do work...its quite troublesome each time i have to go out to study esp when i study alone (which is seldom) . cos when u need to go toilet or what..u have to bring all ya valuable things along..

yesterday's sermon was really gd. reverence fear of God will bring upon holy living.
wow. i wun wanna take God lightly. not because God is merciless that he will struck me down if i make him angry. its more of because he loves me so much, that i wun want to do thing that hurts him.

i pray that God will continue to grow me to have reverence fear towards him that i wanna live a life that will please him only. and i really like the poem shirls shared on sat! (kop from her blog ;p)

Going Higher.

i had my sabbath w God today! went to esplanade library with chantel and sat at the cafe. i really enjoy such time like this. sitting at a comfy place, pending down reflections and do some readings ;)

i read thru my previous 2 entries i wrote last yr. wow i seen how God brought me thru the past 10 mths since then and how God grow me from there.

i wrote down my reflections and thanksgiving today. God is really Good in my life. still remember the beginning of this yr wasnt exactly a smooth sailing period for me, be it emotionally, physically or spiritually. but am glad i went thru it anyway. cos i learnt precious lessons. i thank God oso for blessing me in my studies; cleared the 3 modules the previous sem and recently,i've got better grades for my essay and tests ;)

after journalling down, i was reading the article "lifting people to a higher level" by john c maxwell. shirls let us listened to the teaching on sun ulm. wow after i read it, i am so charged up to do more for God! this teaching comes in timely. cos one of the area i wanna grow in this quarter is discipleship. ok i must apply this teaching then.

2 statements he made that inspired me:

1. " God, Give me something that i can give to others"
-whatever God gives me, i wanna be faithful to pass them down to others.

2. "Jesus, i want to be your road climbing companion"
-i wanna climbed with God, attempting new things for Him.

am looking forward for an exciting adventure with God! lifting people higher :):)

Oct will be exam study break! oh man..time files..it feels like i've just barely started my new sch term...nw gotta prepare for exams alrd! ahha ok. amk lib, airport or compass pt will be my hangout place for the next 1 mth plus..A level muggers..i am joining u guys in this mugging battle too!!

Sengkang Swimming Pool!
(its newly built. i was surprise that there's actually an indoor pool too. but i went to the outdoor one. hhaa..there's children's slides and jaccuzi too! shall try the jaccuzi next time ;p)

Netball competition
(haha on 1 of the mon, chantel and i met and we saw this poster abt netball competition. so we spontanteously went to tpy stadium to check it out and we went to watched the match! it was gd watching how they play. i really enjoy playing netball when i was pri sch. haha. i noe its SO long ago..but its like an old flame to me..HAHAHA. netball rocks! mayb if i took up netball in sec, i will be slimmer now...hurhur ;p)

LISA TOH!
( met our hope brisbane people (torchie, chris and lisa) for lunch 2 wks ago. australia babe. the sharing over lunch was gd! though i only met them for 1 day, i was really encouraged by their service to God and the passion they have. yes, the babe beside me is lisa. i enjoy talking to her and she is really nice! at nite, she actually passed cards to zhiwei and i! keep in touch k?! if i ever got a chance to go brisbane, bring me ard!!)

On A Friday...

wowhoo..its a rare day that i am spending a relaxing afternoon nw. hhaa. finally a day that i do not need to rush assignments or what (hha..well cycle will start again after this wk! so i better cherish..). so am here to blog down my recent learnings!

i was reading matthew 8-9:

Whenever there's a need in the people's lives, they see a need to have Jesus in them.
(e.g the sick, the crippled etc.)

isnt it true in our lives too?

- when we are rushing for sch, we pray for the bus to come quick--> need of God to bring the bus quick! HAHA.
- when we cant understanding what we are studying for the past 1 hr--> need of wisdom
- when we are tired--> need of strength
- when we are quick tempered--> need of self control
- when we feel hurt and discouraged --> need of God's love and comfort.
- when we are caught in situations when we do not noe what to do--> need of God's intervention.

and many many more..

it makes me realise, sometimes when i ask God why he allows certain situations or things to happen, its actually an opportunity that we see that there's a need in our lives & we need Him to be in control, to intervene. without lack, we dun see a need.

so next time when situation arise, see it as another time u can depend on God!

am oso reading Four Pillars of A Man's Heart and must say its an interesting book. i know u guys must be asking why i read a bk abt manhood. well, just feel ts always gd to understand abt how God wired the guys, esp am in JC Ministry too..and there are principles which can be applicable to females too! but seriously...when i am reading the bk, i feel like becoming a MAN! okokko...of cos, i appreciate my own "species" too. HAHA.

(we went to watch Money No Enough 2. hmm i guess my expectation was too high. the movie was ok. but nevertheless, watching movie w zixin was enjoyable! )

(We had an interesting lunch together. haha we actually witness the sudden big crack of the window while we were eating! its so scray. we were all alarmed by the sound! anyway, it was a very expensive lunch :( we merely order like 12 plates in total..and it cost all the 4 of us, $10 each -_-" i will choose to go suki sushi next time! since the quality is not much diff i feel (99cents per plate) )

(yea it use to be at marina bay there..haha. nw the food and environment there is even more appealing. seen rachel really grow so much..and am very thankful :D Rachel, we love u!!)

(A few of us celebrated eevoon's bdae @ crystal jade.wow the peking duck is really yummy! the skin is crispy..the meat is gd! and even their plain porridge is SOOO DELICIOUS i tell u!! u guys must go try.! its not the normal plain porridge u eat outside. after u had a taste of it, u will surely want more! we forgot to take pics!! :( but..it shows all of us are really concentrating on the food and fellowship.haha! Eevoon's life has greatly bless us and many others. thanx for being a great fren, eevoon! love you gal! :D )

Chewing on gd stuff!

debster is a happy gal! cos she finds joy in chewing on the WOG. like what shirls mention on sat, we shld chew on the WOG more & more!

so glad that i can learn new things even though i read the passage b4.

i've created a folder named "personal learning". i've decided to archive all my learnings from books/bible/etc from nw on!

alright, shall share abit of my QT learnings:
(below are just my personal thoughts and learnings.)

Leviticus 5-6:
Guilt/sin offering.

- i was thinking so what is God trying to say abt all these offerings..so i came to this conclusion:

- Every sin committed, the people needs to give an offering (e.g dove, sheep etc)
- It reminds the people that they have sinned. By giving the offering, they will be forgiven.
- Every sin, there’s a price to pay.
- Someone has to pay the price.
- Likewise, now, jesus had paid the price for our sins.
- We should not take his forgiveness and grace for granted.

Matt 6
Giving to the Needy, Prayer & Fasting

- i see a similar msg that jesus is trying to drive. abt doing our deeds with the heart of pleasing God, not showing off. but why these 3 areas?
- so i came to this conclusion:

- These 3 areas are areas they most of the time, we do in the “dark” when people do not notice. E.g. How many times u pray, how much u give (be it in a measurable way or immeasurable ways esp), how many meals u fast.

-We need to guard our heart not to do it out to show off / letting the public to see.
-Do it because of our love for God.

I will blog abt the learnings i have while reading books from time to time too :D
haha learnt so much, i must oso keep in mind to apply them man...

frankly, i am not the "reader" kind. my first hobby will definitely not be reading! haha.but its important that we read and learn..there's so much things to learn in the world. attitude is key. it doesnt matter if u read slowly, pace yaself. so that next time u will want to read again. choose the correct book too! haha. like book with bigger word prints. HAAHA. but of cos, the content of the bk matter the most.

ok,previously,i had this theme-of-the-wk which i touch on L.O.V.E.(topics are according to fruit of the spirit). now i shall go back to it!so this wk's theme-of-the-week is---> JOY ;D

its really interesting to see how when times of testing and trials, how people in the bible still can have joy. well the ans is simple: their source of joy is God ;)

(had an outing 2 wks ago w shirls & all her sheep ( missing winnie & shuz) . we ate steamboat @ bugis & took neoprint! haha 3 yhope gals saw our dear shepherd aka pastor: shirls; cutting neoprint at the neoprint shop. the scene was hilarious! hehe.anyway, we had a gd time together. we are gorgeous cos we have a gorgeous shepherd!!! :D)

Entering the World of Tests & Projs!!

wohoo! feel so cooling nw. purposely went to had a shower so that i can feel more fresh and alert to battle w my assignments. arhghh God i need ya wisdom!

seriously, time files like nobody business. just start the semster at that e start of jul, mth of aug and sept will be a time w e lots of tests and assignments deadlines. this semster indeed is not an easy one man. its a time to learn to balance and strive w God! (ok, holy spirit, remind me to do it w u! )

am craving for durians!! ever since the durian season started, i haven eat any durians :(:(:(
nw i wish i have a cup of ice blended coffee from starbucks or coffee beans to perk me up! :/

Anyway, past 2 days had been an emotionally & mentally draining days for me. haha i wonder issit becos its a pms-ing period. whatever the case is, it doesnt matter if its pms-ing or not. Its decision making. every thought, every feeling, every action.

i'm sending my laptop for "check up". guess can only get it back next wk. the laptop fan is making loud noise..my disk space is low, the com will juz hang & i can only switch off the power to make it work again. MY LAPTOP IS SICK!!! :( ok hope everything will go well after the repair.

yesterday i juz handed my resignation later to the shift leader. felt abit sad that i have to quit the job.. the working environment and the pple at mac call centre are pretty nice and alright. i dun mind working again next time during holis. i have to quit cos projs are pilling up, test will come soon too. i want to do them well. (sch fee is expensive! 1 lect is $100 over :/)

Thank God my parents were understanding abt me quitting work at the moment. . well, i gotta watch how i spend my money then!! ;D

anyway..2nd ess is coming! yupp the whole jc grp gonna fight against all odds!!
JC NEA lets jia you!! more will flood in this wk!! the more things are going against us, the more we gonna wrestle w God in prayer and God's power will show.

was really encouraged when i heard how xingyi expected God to touch the heart of her classmate, Alicia. and during altar call, Xingyi prayed for a word for her fren and indeed, God did! Xingyi spoke in faith to Alicia. Alicia accepted jesus into her life! when Alicia is back to her seats, i saw tearings rolling down her face..later i found out that indeed, God touched her heart ;) such a heart warming scene.

Ny had a new convert too! someone from east brought her. on fri nite, i was telling God that even if somewhere pop out a convert will be gd oso!! haha and God did. ask specifically in prayer. ask anything in prayer! prayer is powerful. of cos, we gotta do our part as we pray too :D

As we labor in hardwork and prayer, Fruits will surely come! If God is for us, no one can be against us!!

OH yes! Go listen to hillsongs new album: This Is Our God. The songs inside are awesome.its really very uplifting and encouraging.

i remember i first heard of one of the song called :desert song ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE33ejdgWIY) when huiying send me the clip. i was really encouraged by the story of one of the worship leader who sang this song. smth happened before she recorded this song. can check it out. how she still praise God and trust in God despite of her circumstance.

Today i watched another clip of their new song called: Healer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4xsWldmqAo&feature=related)
The guy who wrote this song, Mike Guglielmucci. Mike is a youth pastor at Planetshakers Church in Melbourne City. he wrote this song when he knows he had a terminal cancer. . yet, he still believes and trust God for his healing. even till the pt he led this song, he put on a oxygen tube and sang it w all his heart. while watching the clip, i totally went speechless.

he said smth that caught my heart during the interview clip: " we can choose what to be magnify." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ_ny8hMgRY&feature=related)
he chose to magnify God instead of his illness. God is BIGGER than the situation.
he is so filled w hope and continue to battle w the illness. he still move on w his life, not feeling pitiful and all. his life testimony really shows me what it means by trusting in God at ALL times and praising Him for who he is.

Because of his real life, his relationship w God, this song that he wrote is so powerful! as the congregation worship w this song, the faith level and dependancy on God is so strong.

it makes me reflect upon my life.everything i go thru, its not wasted. big or small, all can be use for God's purpose somehow, somewhere.

Sometimes i rant and complain abt the happenings in my life.oh man..compare to people who went thru so much in their life, mine is nth man.yes, like what shirls said, our problems are like peanuts!!

When u choose to look to God, there's hope. not fixing ya eyes on situation but God.

i wanna be such a person that choose to focus on God not on things ard me. cos nth gonna change when i keep dwelling in my circumstances. only when i learn to surrender and magnify God, focus on Him, i can be at rest. When God is in control, thats enough.

A Divine Conversation.

alright! here's wat happened one month ago:

i went to jasmine's hse to slack after my work. so we had lunched together. later part, we were just chatting. so i shared w her during camp, 1 of my objective was to ask God to assure me of his calling for me and to tell me wat issit.

well, during camp, God spoke to me thru the lyrics of this song:
"i was made to love u, i was made to glorify ur name, in every circumstance, to find a, chance to thank u...."

God told me my primary calling is made for him.hmm in my heart i was feeling "duh -_-" , i know God. then i asked God again "can u at least tell me abit..juz a small glimspe of wat is the calling u have for me exactly!!" but nth happened after that.

ok back to the convo..so jasmine and i went on talking...and she pop me this qns "debbie, when is the last time u dream for God?" for the next few seconds...i juz kept quiet and looked at jasmine.she continued saying... sometimes, perhaps i do not have the drive in doing things is because in the first place i do not know whats my dream.

wow that qns & statement really struck me. thats the qns i guess God wants to post to me. i know for sure its not God who do not want tell me wat is he calling for me. but firstly, wat is my dream for him?

Frankly, i am sick and tired of juz doing the mundane things...seriously. not that i do not enjoy doing them BUT i know there shld be more than these. Surely there's things i can do more and need to be done for God. i wanna noe wat issit exactly. but because i dare not dream big, i guess i wasnt ready to know wat exactly God's calling has for me.

so i shared w jasmine my thoughts. then i went on sharing the practical part like what are the giftings i think i can continue to strengthen and i wanan venture more.

few days after, i met shirls. and she shared w me abt whats the difference b/w life calling and life station. At different life station, we may serve God in diff areas or ways but if our life calling in God for e.g is to train leaders, no matter where u go, God will use u at that life station, to do ya life calling. wise words from shepherd!

and i am really assured that as long as i develop myself nw, and exercise my giftings..there sure will be opportunity that God will use me in a greater measure.be in nw in the jc minstry or in the future where God place me ;)

life is too short to live for smth less.

now i learnt to dream big. anyway, dreaming big for God is not paiseh AT ALL!! of cos, backing up w actions, is the most impt thing.

2 dreams:
a) Be a P&W ldr!! (even if its not in the youth, i wanna prepare myself nw ( singer's minstry is a gd training ground!), so that next time, at anytime & anywhere, when there's a need, i am ready!)
b) Gift of Pastoral & Mercy to be expand to the MAXXXXXXXX
(to be sharper and spirit led, effective in my ministry. esp when pple share their probs/issues. )

so frens, b4 u ask God whats his calling for u, why not u ask yaself whats ya dream for him?

trust in God that he will nv forget the dreams u had. one day, it will surely come to pass as we are faithful.

Waiting is preparation. when the time come, we will be ready to go all out. its nv wasted!
Sometimes pple ard us seems to know their calling so sure and early, well i know they are people who are firstly faithful w little, and God slowly add upon and show them more.

God's plan for us is to prosper us, not to harm us. his plan for each individuals are different. Trust him!

haah and something interesting happened on that same wk, saturday. b4 i left hm to go church, so happen that my tv was showing the adiddas new advertisement: Dare to Dream! HAHAH. after i saw it i was like...OHHHH...wowo God u reminding me? tsk tsk..

A POST YOU MUST READ

hey pple! i am here to declare God's goodness and faithfulness!!

(though its like 4am in the morning nw...came back from work..but i need to share this!)

today was the release of my exam result for the semester. i was really nervous abt it. becos these 3 modules that i took are repeated modules. esp econs, am quite worried i will flank it. but i work really hard and God really helped me thru alot of ways (e.g sending pple to teach me, giving me wisdom and strength, encourage me thru his Word and the pple ard me etc....). i didnt want to disppoint God, my parents and even myself.

ok cut the story short..so jesline helped me check my result as i was outside...and she broke the news to me:.......

I CLEARED ALL my 3 MODULES!!!!!!!!!!!!

(THANK U GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):) )

i told God b4, if i really cleared these 3 modules , i will declared it BIG TIME in my blog, put on my msn and tell my close frens how He has blessed me. becos i know its really not only my hard work, but God's power too.

i know econs paper, God did it for me.
esp for acc paper, i know God make a way for me as well!
jesline i will remember how God used u to speak the words of encouragement to me while i was on my way to take the paper. i know clearly its from God ;p

well, i know its not as if i got distinctions (i've got 2 passes and 1 credit. for the passes, 2 more marks for each of them, i will get credit!! oh well ;p )..BUT...i am really happy becos i really gave my best and God honors it ;) i'm even more determined to do much better next sem onwards!

i am very happy that my frens shared my joy too! i sms a no. of my close frens..and i can feel they are really happy for me becos they see me thru this period too ;)

aft i knew the result, i called my parents. they are glad for me!

most imptly, i really cant say enough how thankful i am to God and the pple he placed in my life.. really. God taught me alot abt this thing call-->"2nd chance". this sem is like a 2nd chance to me.
the fall maybe painful but most imptly, i must learn from it and grow. thru this sem, i've grown to become a more disciplined person and trusting God that he is with me. cheering me on ;D what a sweet God i have!

recently, we've been talking abt the great commission and if its gonna happen in my lifetime, how else will i live my ife.

i thought thru, and i really wanna do my best and be faithful in all areas of my life. be it in ministry, studies, in my family etc. likewise, when i study, i dun juz study for the sake of graduating and get the cert (i mean..come on, when u die, u are not gonna bring ya cert w u together in ya cofin rite?) but i wanna do my best...so that i can do much more for God in places he plans to place me in.

life is too short to just live for myself and my own dreams. i wanna live for God. i wanna make my life count. YES. in whatever decisions i gonna make, i wanna have the kingdom mentality in mind.

was on the phone w eevoon, and she asked me to help her blog abt her conviction. she said " i am so convicted abt the Great Commission. i'm so gonna use my life to live for God. " --eevoon
(anyway, she is lazy to blog! haha.)

really anticipating great things from camp!!! i know God will surely speak. i wanna be ready to listen ;)

Qns: how much is my need of God?

My ans: (ponder awhile) .... alot. alot. alot. alot.

juz as how badly i will need water, oxygen & food to survive physically..my spiritual being need God to survive.

after sat's svc, i started to ponder abt what can i fast on. i really wanna increase my hunger and desperateness for God esp during this holis. its true. if i can have self control over food, i am sure other areas i can have a better discipline too.

ok... so aft thinking thru i've decided. i'm gonna be a vege gal! haha.

alright, since the nxt 2 wks gonna embark on the camp devotion, i will stop my Fruit of the Spirit theme for prayer and learning.

gonna share abt what i learnt from the camp devotion & wanna learn to apply too! ;)

i guess v13 sums the whole of chap 13 well. the greatest is still...love. i dunno how to describe more w words abt this verse but i guess, the verse speaks for itself ;)

"hah..God, today my patience was tested. hahah which reminds me of yesterday wat i learnt. when u love someone, u will be patient with them!ok i noe i need to grow. help me to be sensitive to love others esp people who are close to me cos i do not want to take them for granted. let me walk in faith, hope in you and love greatly. in your name i pray, amen!"

yihui and i went to amk's suki sushi. its the place where the sushi can be as cheap as $0.99! we ate the lunch set which cost each of us $9? its quite worth it (see the above pic). one main dish (its filling!), one side dish (delicious) and hot green tea.
was a gd time spent w yihui, and her sharing spurs me on too! lets jia you to please God w our lives!

**zhiwei, next time we can go there too. haha yesterday we didnt mange to go. food is quite nice over there!

#1 Love
(day 2)

yeah came back from aj cg and dinner with zhiwei. really glad to see more j1s in the cg and we prayed for the two new b (yun yang & yuan tat). praying that they will continue to experience God in a tangible manner. the cg celebrated boey's bdae too! our mr vampire. yea and we prayed together w him that he will have a sheep asap.

dinner w zhiwei was filliing! hahaa we both feel so bloated after dinner and we had to chase our buses w our bloated stomach! :( but oh well, at least we manage to catch the buses home.

anyway, i love chen chen! i appreciate how she makes effort to be creative and gently evaluate me. thats how we can grow too isnt it? we all need constructive feedbacks!

i am looking forward to grow in God with you and our relationship too ;)

alright, decided for the next few days, i will explore more on 1 cor 13, passage abt Love. so here's today's part:

actions without love is dead, nothing, meaningless. the verses make me question my actions. when i do certain things, do i do it out of duty or out of genuine love?

no matter how powerful or how "spiritual" the things we do, but we do not love, its nothing.

i love the way The Message version said abt the last few lines of verse 3: "no matter what i say, what i believe, and what i do, i'm bankrupt without love"

My Prayer:
"God, in all things i do, let me do it with love. not out of obligation but sincere love. so that it will not be amount to nth. but when my actions are accompained w love, something good will turn out! thanx for reminding me this simple but yet impt truth. gd nite God! "

Holidays.

finally back to blogging!. exam was ok ;) hope everything will go well. alright, my holis will end after june. july will be the start of the new semster. shall maximise my time ;p

i was think how i can make my prayer life more interesting. and an idea came! i gonna start w having a theme per according to the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control)

this wk theme is:

Matthew 22:37-49

What does it mean to love God?

we need to know God. as the verse says, love God w ur passion, prayer and intelligence. love is not blind! (not what the dramas teaches us) u need to know who u are loving , what is so worthy for this love. love is a devotion (Devotion is an intense love and steadfast, enduring loyalty to a person). to love is to give your all.

What does it mean to love myself?

Love others as much as you love yaself. be4 u can learn to love others, we need to learn to love ourself. its not those kind of self-centred love on ourself. loving ourself means to appreciate how God has created us to be, knowing that we are not lousy, we do have our shortcomings, we are imperfect but we do have our strength too! learning to love yaself is impt. if we cant even appreciate & love the way we are created, how can we love others?

wow, its interesting to find out more abt the Word. i learnt smth today!

my prayer:

"God, help me to learn to love myself as how u've loved and created me. times i feel lousy abt myself, may you remind me of ya love; that i am beautifully and wonderfully made ;). Today was a rest day for me. hehe. well its kinda a small gd break for me.

i simply did things that i liked:

a) watched a korean drama

- nw currently airing on Channel U. hehe but i manage to clear all the episodes from last nite and this afternoon. the main actor does have nice dimples when he smile! haha.

b) slept well
c) had home cooked food
d) spent time w God and pending down learnings

i thought its so impt to rest well physically and doing things u liked when u need to have a break
by juz this one day rest, i regain much more that can carry me thru the next few days! =)

in fact, when u have a gd physical rest, not only physically u will feel better, emotionally and spiritually its charged up too! "they" do affect one another isnt it? =p

ok these few nites i better revise as much as i can so that i can enjoy my wkends!!

Lazy Sunday

today's weather juz makes me feel like slacking! (haa ok...am i making excuses?) ok after this i will hibernate myself and revise for tues test.

had a discussion w my cg (jontay,jon quek, yihui, zhiwei, hsiaoen and huiqi) yesterday at cartel. i like eating the bread spread w butter and adding sugar on top! (haiz think my fri swimming gone to waste again!)

anyway,i think we had a gd sharing of views last nite. as we invest, things will work out! in fact, i cant thank these pple enough. they really work their butt off for the grp to see communities being set up in the ne jcs. passionate bunch of pple! ;) jc nea peeps, follow ya ldrs as they follow God and support them k?! and lets see cg 08 being accomplish asap in ne jcs!!

anyway..i seriously need a gd break (which is during 1st wk of april) after all the tests!! . after 1st wk of april, will be revision for exams. thank God, this time the exam timetable is quite gd for me. i shld have sufficient time to revise each module. heh. anyway here's something interesting:

my mum juz came back from work and i happen to wanna use the bathroom for wash up. she scolded me for snatching the bathroom w her whenever she wants to bathe. hmmm. well today is really a coincidence. when i want to bathe and she is back. the funny thing is she scolded me juz becos she wanna bathe too. haha. i find it kinda amusing. well, i guess cos my mum is choleric and she wanna quickly bathe and do stuff so perhaps i juz break her plan! ;p

Chasing Time.

i woke up ard 11pm from my unhealthy-nap-after-dinner! yup aft eating my dinner, i slack ard, watching tv and reading magazine. need to do this to relax myself while. haha in fact, most of the time when i had dinner at hm, i will slack for 1 hr or 2 b4 i get started to do things
well, i really enjoy this kind of relaxing moments when life is hectic in spore!

hahah it has been a long time since i last blog.busy and i wun be blogging so often until my exam ends? am having 1 test per wk starting from this wk till the next next wk. omg, time really flies. it juz feels like i juz started my new sem not so long ago and its actually coming to an end in a mths time. then Mr Exam will be coming to meet me!! ;p

Was reading magazine juz nw and there's this article abt pure tiredness or sick. in fact, even the magazine says too much sleep may not be a gd thing too.

here's sum interesting facts:
Bad habits that can contribute to ur 3pm slump!

a) Too Much Sleep
- not exercising and using your brain? u'll only feel more tired.

b) Junk Food
- heavy, fried foods make u lethargic because ur body takes longer to digest them. fruits, veggies and whole grains give u enegry.

c) Movie Marathons
- watching alot of TV? do jumping jackes during commercial break to get ya engery level up. otherwise, u wont be tired at night when its time to sleep.

haha i find the part abt doing jumping jack is quite funny.will pple really do that? hmm. anyway i agree w the first two pts! in fact, i realise when i sleep early and wake up early, i feel more productive. on top of it, if i eat well and exercise, i feel more alert. okok, am slowly tuning back to eating healthier food and exercising!! i must jia you!

Most imptly, During this peak period, the more i need to do my everyday w jesus!! must make it a pt then: One Day Challenge =)

Get Started.

Happy Chinese New Year peeps!! well, this new yr i need not go back to malayisa which oso means shrink in hongbao :( but its ok! still will received from my parents. haha.

actually i wanna make chu yi & chu er as stay home days!! but its SO HARD. haha tempted to go out. so in the end, tml nite; going movie, fri; there's 2 outings (one int he afternoon, one in the evening). my money saving plan failed :/ i want to revise my work..seriously i need to.. quite alot to catch up.

today aj had a ice skating outing! and oso celebrated zhiwei's bdae too! the core team was very sweet. besides plans to "Sabo" her, had meals w her and ice skate w her, they actually get the person to play happy bdae song while we skate and they "rain down" fake snow juz for zhiwei!!!

omg i mean how sweet can this be?ahah. a bdae celebration w loved ones and effort being put in ;) it shows how much they loved her ;p

oh and i enjoyed myself during the ice skate w them! was my first time. i fell twice -_-" intitally i was very scare that i will fall, so i keep holding on to the side bar. later liting and zhiwei helped me to step out of my "comfort zone". hahah indeed, i fell TWICE! my jeans were wet. zhiwei and wee keong oso had their jeans wet. haha. and i scream SO LOUD when i was falling that i think all the pple in the rink can hear. the rest were saying when they see how i scream, they see another side of me! HAHAHA.

but b4 i could really skate properly, we have to go off le :( at least i manage to skate abit la.

i wanna go again!!! to learn how to skate steadily.

skating is so fun. i get to wear gloves (in spore, when u will get to wear it?? we have no winter :/) and i can wear scarf too! hahah i noe it sounds abit stupid to u guys, but seriously i really like it. makes me feel like i am in some winter country....like mayb....Korea?!?! (muhahah!!)

of cos, besides the fun, get to meet other Hope ldrs from other countries. its really cool to talk to them, and hear from them wat they are doing over their country. and no matter u are from Hope Japan, Hope KL etc.,all of us have the same vision as a whole Hope movement: fufilling the great commission.

went for a mission workshop and i really learnt alot. its really possible in the near future we can do smth for God oversea where pple need to hear the love of God & building a community there. and i realise, what we are doing nw in spore is so impt! i am very bless to be in Hope spore whereby i receive trainings of skills and character. serving God in this church is really cool! ;)

Well, it starts locally. i was telling God, whatever that i have went thru, going to go thru, all these i believe will help in the long run and preparing me for the future.

Welcome 2008!

oh and i just got my daily contact lens today! for first timer like me, i thought its better cos i can use and throw away and for hygiene purpose too. easy to take care.the person said 2 advantages i have was that i have big eye ball and teary eyes. the moment i put on the lens, tears start rolling down alrd.haha. but taking the lens off is so scary then putting them on! i am so afraid that i will squeeze & hurt my eye ball! haha ok.but well, i think i juz have to get use to it.

after all these, we brought elvis to amk ministry hse for sunny's meeting. raphael left to meet pple while gwen, dewen & me went to walk ard at amk hub. and....we suddenly feel like going to the arcade. haha. i was so thrilled to see there's actually game machine that u can earn tickets!! i mean, its hard to find such machines nowadays. so, we decided to play! we felt kinda paiseh though ;p cos 3 of us, 20++yrs old young peeps playing arcade games to earn tickets!! haha.

BACK!

finally back to blog.yyup exam is over and i shld be happy! oh well..indeed exam is over i am glad ;) but am more worried abt the result actually. cos i dun have a gd feeling abt it.

i revise to the best that i noe how and try to ask when i dunno. at least i can safely say i gave my best. i mug hard with the mentality that i wanna do God proud, i wanna make the $$ my parents spend on my studies worth it, i dun wan to disappoint them and myself.

haha juz now, i even told me mum truthfully how i feel abt my exams. i told her that if i didnt do well, i will hibernate myself for one day or go somewhere to take time off for a day. juz leave me alone to cool down, sort out my thoughts (which i hope this day will not come!)

i juz hope to pass all. seriously.

On a lighted note..this exam really makes me realise abt how i handle things when i am stress, how God is faithful to provide me with strength and wisdom when i asked of him, and how he uses pple to encourage me during this period too ;)

all in all, thank God for God! if not for God, i think i will be bald by now. cos i will be pulling out all my hair!

alright! so here's what happen on TUESDAY:

on tue aft our paper paper, had lunch w my frens at NP.

JAP FOOD

i ordered curry chicken don (on the left) ! its very nice and worth it. curry chicken don. a few others ordered this chicken and egg hotplate (the one in the middle. i dunno if i name it correctly). on the extreme right, its salmon hotdog (dewen ordered this. which he says it tastes like crabmeat.)

after that, i went for a hair cut. a gd therapy for me! and i feel fresher too.its a guy hairstylist who cut my hair. i am quite bias actually. haha. i always prefer guy hairstylist. ever since i experience the goodness of gd hair cut whom is cut by a guy, i start to go for guy hairstylist as far as possible. cos i feel they are more daring to try things. and i like changes for my hair! ;)

i believe its essential to have a gd hair cut and esp when i dun have much hair. haha its very impt for me. so i rather spend abit more on cutting hair.

at nite, had dinner w rachel, zixin, jon tay and gideon. we ate zhu2 chao3 opp zhonghua sec. the coffee shop name is call coffee delight!

he is juz someone who sings and plays in a bar b4 he is famous. he was famous after appearing in one of the taiwan's singing competition variety show. he was invited to compete w the constestant. he wasnt anyboby then.

it was after he appear on the show and he sang, people start to notice him.then i guess records companies try to sign him up if i am not wrong. i by now, he shld be in one of the records company alrd ba. haha. if u have time, shld go youtube and watch his clips.he plays the keyboard and sings well.

TODAY (WED) :

i had a gd sleep. finally. haha. i decided to do some skipping. so i went to the corridor to skip! my stamina is really bad la. i juz merely skip awhile, i started to feel breathless alrd! cant believe it?!?!?! -_-"'

i skip awhile, stop awhile. this continues on for 20 mins. arghh. my stamina why so bad? but nvm. i gonna improve on it! i guess when i swim, its slower pace, so i dun feel that breathless. but skipping is more vigorous. i shall keep improving and train my stamina!

afternoon, met up w ruth for lunch! had a gd time catching up and talked ;)

and ate the nice rojak after i had lunch.

(there goes my skipping! haiz..wasted.)

headed home for dinner! enjoyed home cook food ;) then start to read email, reply email, chat on msn and blog. ohh and playing awhile at facebook. juz created one acc. haha.

ok! need to take time to plan what i wanna do during this holis.dun wanna waste the holis away by waking up very late then ended up, wasted my mornings or even afternoon, and doing unproductive things:( NONONO. haha.wake up early, do exercise then eat breakfast, or eat breakfast then afternoon exercise...then do other stuff. yea i wanna do that!

at least if i have a rest day, i need to rest and slack well.. hahaha!

i wanna read up books to expand my learning capactiy, i wanna be more involve in discipleship, i wanna catch up w friends, i hope can get some gd temp flexi job lobangs (to earn some expenses) and i wanna regain my healthy living! =) okok i better plan.

ohhh and yea tml finally i can join the j1s for cg!! ahah looking forward.

jay chou's concert!!! am going with shuz, ruth, jesline and dewen. though we sitting at balcony area, hearing him sing is more impt! haha. i would love to go for wong leehom;s concert if he is coming again (i miss the one this he had recently :( ) cos he is one of those artist i think thats worth watching. of cos jay chou's too. hehe

i oso hope to watch musical! when will it be!?!? :( haiz so sad i miss phathom of the opera!!!

ohh! and juz now, my dad was talking abt holis next yr. and i ask if there's possibility we can go korea. tsk tsk. my mum who heard it, immediately rejected the idea cos its quite expensive.my dad continues and said if i save up abit mayb he can consider. hahahaa well i hope its true. i will seriously leap for joy if i am going to korea!!! well see how it goes nxt yr.

No pics for this post! haa..lazy to do so cos will take a long time. will put up interesting ones after my exam!

recently i've been munching much more!!! :( becos of this stupid thing call: stress! its one of the outlet for me to relief stress but i guess...not the best way!!! cos i suspect at the end of this exam period, i will become "prosperous" in a bad way :/ shall exercise regularly after exam!!!!!! ITS A MUST. hhahha. i better be faithful to do it.

i understand sometimes its quite stressful when u have so many things to catch up, memorise & revise. but last wk cg was a gd reminder for me. went sa cg, seow wei led testimony and gave us this article (thank God for her! it came timely.). it reminds me that going thru stressful period (eg. exams) is part and parcel. What matter the most is how we view it,how we handle and responds to it. haha. i hope this exam period i will grow too!

lastly..for ALL (whether u are a believer or not, this applies to everyone =p) who are HAVING EXAMS..remember you can always call upon Jesus for peace, strength and wisdom anytime! ;)

so it was a.............BURNT.

today i brought my hp for repair. the person said its actually not a water droplet inside the lens but a burnt?!?! i dunno how it happens. its the internal part of the lens thats affected, have to change the lens. so i got it repaired for $45 (hahaa..dad gonna help pay for this, thank God!). yea..i am SO relieved to hear that juz need to get the lens changed. no need to buy new hp or what. cos i really like this phone ;)

was talking to Jon Tay at nite. we were talking abt some ministry stuff..then he was asking me hows my rendezvous w God. was sharing w him abt my happenings and learnings for the past wks. then later on he shared his. am really amazed of how God use different incidents to speak to us individually. after the conversation, i felt enouraged and uplifted =) am convinced that there's more to what God is gonna to do in our lives! In the meantime, i know He will mould us to prepare us for smth more. so scary!!! but yet exciting too. haha. God pls do ya work in us! ;)

A Hole.

i think water went into my hp camera's Lcd lens!!!!! i am very very sad. cos this hp's camera is pretty gd. these few days i cant even take any pics! :( i gonna send it to repair soon.

i was having a nap juz now. wasnt feeling that well but nw am much better! praise God ;) no more headache and my voice sounds better. no more sexy voice! haha.

Actually i juz wanna wake up & go to the toilet and go back to my nap. but my mind starts to work again! so since i cant get back to sleep even though i tried, decided to juz wash my face and wake up.

i gonna ressume exercising and eating well nxt wk onwards (this wk didnt get to exercise :/). its very impt esp during this period of exam revision. cos it does help in my concentration,more alert too ;)

anyway, after yesterday's sermon, i haf choosen 2 "mordecai"! i name them Mordecai (A) and Mordecai (B). i "informed" them by giving each of them a postcard i've written this morning ;) and along w that, i decided to have buddy(s) mordecai & a special mordecai (i juz msg her on msn said i will tell her smth exciting! haha she dunno i gonna appoint her as my "special" mordecai yet. tsk tsk).

yup. i need these "mordecai (s)" in my life! i need pple to throw me hard qns, speak into my life, train me and guide me to what God wants me to be. i want to be faithful to what God has given to be and act upon it wherever he place me in. i wanna have the GUTS to do it. yesterday God reminded me the prophecy that was spoken to me last yr (i've mention b4):

how can i forget abt this?!?!?!?! sometimes i get so caught up w things ard me that i forgot God's promise to me. human beings are so forgetful aint we? hahaha thats y i guess God always need to remind us thru all sorts of ways. but it shows smth....HE NV FORGETS our respond, our dreams.

and i oso wanna find pple that i can be their mordecai to. on the same time, i shld prepare myself to be the right kind of mordecai too! ;)

i was watching ratatouille w joy on thurs nite ;) our 1st movie together! (more to come joy!!hehe.) the show is nice! i like the part when they say abt doing smth new, abt dreaming big. and i start to think abt dreams that i had. ahahah..many of them.

there's one dream that i had and i was even thinking of "abandon" it long time ago. but i realise i didnt even try to do anything abt it. yet i wanted to juz let it go like that. i give myself excuses like "i am not gd enough. there's others who is better. i juz continue to remain where i am nw and that will be gd. etc " arghh. at least i shld give it a try rite? even if i cant reach there...perhaps something gd will come out of it. at least give it a try! YESH.thats where my "special mordecai" comes in! hehe. actually i feel abit paiseh for asking her to be but..but watever it is, i gonna TRY.hmmm once i tell her, there's no turning back! ;p

tml gonna have a Rendezvous with God! going sentosa w jesline and eevoon. we planning to go to the beach,then find our own spot, spend time w God on our own and after a few hrs, meet again. so cool! am so looking forward to spend solitude time w God.

Taking time off its very impt. cos there's always things for us to do and accomplish, its impt to stop and take a step back, spending time to reflect and think. so that we can run even further. will blog abt my Rendezvous w God more on mon or tues nite!

Sch term has ended and coming next is...EXAMS! (bishan and regina! finally we get to attend the last lec together!! )

18 more days to my 1st paper. shall do some planning for revision and ministry later so that i can maximise my time even in the midst of my exams.

omg..i shld be revising for my law test and i am here..BLOGGING! and slacking. haiz. such sunday is hard to get things done...ok watever..i am giving excuses!!! ok after this, i shall have my dinner and start my revision.

(his spiritual life and his personal development).so happy for Him.believe God will continue to grow this guy into a fine and godly young man! after dinner, we went to arcade for some gaming!we had so much fun playing the basketball game.the 6 of us even team up and play a few rounds! hehe. its like an mini aerobics exercise for me! LOL.

besides what the pics i had posted abt my wk, it hasnt been an easy for me personally. in terms of handling my emotions. as if i had taken a roller coaster ride :/

personally, i am not those who reveal my emotions very openly when i dun feel gd. firstly cos i do not wish to affect the people ard me. Secondly,i like to take time to evaluate why i feel the way i feel. when needed, i do share w close and trusted ones.

during yesterday's prayer meet, i felt so refresh. we were singing the song "have ur way". this is the song sung during my first church camp yrs back.

So yesterday while singing this song, i recalled my first love with God. how i eagerly wanna learn abt God when i was a younger believer, the hunger and spirit of wanting more of God. i told God yesterday that i really want to desire more of his presence in my life! as a growing christian, i shld desire even more of Him. nth less. but more.

And i come to understand that my focus shld be on God. not on myself. Not getting so caught up w my feelings. i realise how immature i am actually. the way i handle, the way i react. all along i thought i am pretty gd w emotions..haa but oh well..

Thru the prayer meet, the sharing i had a eevoon on fri nite, the msn convo i had w jesline yesterday nite, God juz settled things there and then. God is gd. He heard me and answered my prayers ;)

Even up to this morning, while i was bathing, i remembered one of my bdae wish this yr is that i want to be someone who is after God's heart.its time i act upon it. i need to improve on my private prayer & worship life, learning abt God's word etc. and i am sure as i am close w God, i will be able to handle other aspects in my life better.

Anniversary

this yr's church anniversary, i am really grateful and thankful of what God had in all aspects of my life yet another part of me, i feel abit hmmm...sad? i miss a few pple. one of them is eelee tan! if not for her, i will not be who i am today. i still remember taking pics w her during last yr's church anniversary.

in fact, the nite before this yr's church anniversary, i was chatting with her on msn. she told me recently she re read the letter i gave her when she left, she was very touched (awwwwwww ;))..

i started to teared. cos that day..the thought of not able to celebrate w her together saddens me. i really really miss her.

i miss every shepherding w her, i miss swimming w her, i miss going eating/shopping w her, i miss going for spontaneous movie outings...

i miss alot of moments i had w her. i miss times when she shared with me what she learnt from God cos i gain alot from those sharing...

i miss times when i account to her, share my deep stuff with her.

now, when she is not around in spore, i recall there are occassions when i am down, i will thought of eelee. cos i feel like sharing with her, pouring out to her, hearing her advice.

BUT!!! i know she is doing great work for God at chile ;) so...

eelee!!!! JIA YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)))))

(in korean it means: i'm a student)

have been studying for 2 tests recently. one on last fri, the other was on mon. i sense that when the exam is drawing nearer (which is very soon), more revision need to be done! so much to study!!! :( thankfully God has been very gd to me! always strengthen me and giving me wisdom. placing pple ard me to help me in my revision directly or indirectly (eg. encouraging me, giving me wake up call etc.) =) if not, i think i cant make it. hope the exam time table will be out soon. so that i can plan my revision ;)

OHH!! i swam 30 laps today! weather is finally gd and i managed to swim! haaa breakthru. the most i swam was like 24 or what. nv swim beyond that. yea. eat well, rest well and exercise! yea thats what i want very much!!!! i must keep it up.

had some time to relax these few days;) i really enjoy day/s when i can have sometime for myself aft a busy wk or so. i feel gd doing things i like and slowing down my pace. next thing i wanna do is to have a sabbath day w God! shall plan it ;)

finally i can watch dramas! haha. one of them is hanakimi (jap version). waahaha i had a great laugh while watching (i was alone in my room, if anybody would to see me, will think that i am crazy!) its so funny when they exaggerate certain things. the way the actors do it wasnt those lame and yet u feel like -_-" but they pull it off well. i felt this plot is much better than the taiwan's hana kimi. in addition, the guys in jap hanakimi have gd looking actors! even the female actress has a very cute and pleasant look. hehe.

COLD WEATHER

weather has been pretty cooling and cold for the past few days.i love this kind of weather! cos it feels like winter. haha (okok. i noe its FAR from it) on tue i wanted to go and swim, i prepared all the stuff..and who knows? Slightly better

this morning till evening, my throat still hurts :/ i only felt better aft my mum made this herbal tea for me. she bought the 药粉 and mix w water then i drank it. though taste bitter but not bad! =)

today's lecture was BORING!

its management accounts lecture today. mayb cos the first topic?all theories :( all of us were surviving well at the beginning but aft break, i start to feel sleepy. was sms-ing kaiwen abt stuff then he smsed some lame msges -_-" but that keeps me awake for awhile though. haha. towards like the last 20 or 15 mins, i was abit dozing off :/ so no wonder..dewen has to pick up a book to read! haa.

around 4.30pm ..met up w hsiao en! she is really an adorable sheep. haha. very encouraged by her willingness to do things for God. =) Go go Hsiao en!!

then went for a swim. swam 22 laps! yea. finally more then 20.

My 2nd "BEST" Fren: Sore throat.

well, am dowm w a bad sore throat n slight flu. on sat aft svc, was super tired. and i kinda loss my voice too. at midnite peter drove jon tay, me, gideon n rachel for supper. we went bedok, ate ba cho mee, stingray and later went to kovan's hk cafe. i ate toast bread. how fattening can this be right?!?! at the middle of the nite u are eating all these food. haiz...ok.

i think its becos of the toast bread, the food n all the tiredness i had accumulated the past few nites,slept early last nite.

this morning i woke up feeling abit feverish n throat was super pain. nose was block too. after i took a bathe, had my breakfast, i felt kinda restless that i went to take a short nap! haha.omg.like a pig.

joy called me in the afternoon, heard my "sexy" voice! she prayed for me over the phone. what a sweet gesture!

then went to ps cafe cartel to meet eevoon, ruiz n chantel. we had a simple lunch over to celebrate chantel's belated bdae =) went home to rest after that. missed ywam nite :/

but once i reached hm, cannot sleep. dun feel like sleeping.

this wk onwards...NO MORE supper!! only can drink.hahaha. ahhh i keep procrastinating my healthy living season 2. ok no more no more!

WOHHOO!

haa..i felt i am a gd gal today. read thru briefly my econs lecture notes, finished the tuitorial hmwk (MCQ qns). feel proud of myself!!! hahaa.finish what needs to be down and not at the last min. it feels gd. however, still haf some parts i dun really understand..so haf to meet jesline tml to ask her!

now preparing for tml's unit cg sharing...looking ard for pics! hehe God pls give me wisdom and ideas!! lookinf forward for a great time of fellowship and ministering from God!

Feelings.

(smth everyone has)

when i am young, i hope i will grow up faster. i wanna be an adult. so that i can haf more freedom, do more things, know more.

but when i grown up, its a different story sometimes.

there are times i hope time will go abit slower. i want to become a child again. when u dun really need to think/know too much. just being very simple. well then again, mayb we are the ones that make things complicated.haha

as i grow up, i think alot more. i hate it sometimes. cos some of the thoughts are a waste of time and its not productive.i will end up being negative.

i hate being emotional. i wanna move on. i dun like being over sensitive to certain things pple said or do. i try not to read into it too much. but sometimes i failed :/ esp if i had a bad day.

or perhaps..

there's a few unsettled thoughts/feelings i have yet settle completely....thats y i begin to haf mix feelings.

i wish sometimes i am emotionless. just make me a robot for a few sec/mins/hrs/days. so that i no need to feel and think so much. hhaaa..BUT its not possible.

so the best way to deal w it i guess is to.........Look to God =)

POST CAMP SYNDROME

what am i doing now at 3.16am??!(reading from my laptop's timing) yes i cant sleep. it has been like that for quite sometime. but gd thing is the latest time i will go K.O. is 4am. i am feeling slightly tired alrd. thats gd. hmmm..but how long will it take to be cured?!?! i guess as sch start, it will be better. dewen suggest me to pray! haaa..ya i think i shld.

had law lecture today. it was a RMIT visit (meaning oversea lecturer came to teach for a few lessons) was kinda boring :( for the 1st half of the lect. thank God, after break was better. cos he was going thru on impt topics alrd.

am meeting eevoon to go swim tml, afternoon i haf class. hope i can survive during the lecture and manage to wake up to go for swim. yes i need to swim! workout!
